Max's beloved bach is as old as me - nearly - Max can not wait to get back there - it's like her special sanctuary. Max's Granddad 'Doc' Williams built it in one week with the help of his friends. It is on a tiny knoll on the edge of the Tauranga Bay Estuary near the Whangaroa Harbour entrance, which is located on the east coast of northern New Zealand. There is no vehicle access - one must walk along the estuary to get there, which offers it's own special challenges on a wet day!
For many years Christmas Day has been extra special with the kids and the oldies all squeezed inside the one room for presents and special food!
And now, the kids are bringing their own friends to this idyllic spot - wait 'til you see some of the photos of the place!
And, you too can share in the beauty and tranquility of Tauranga Bay either by watching for Max's new posts or visiting. There is a motor camp nearby, other buildings adjacent to the water for rent, or, if you are especially lucky Max might allow you to share her special place!
This very first post has been written by Max's nemesis P A L as she is preparing something really special for you all very soon!
